today i started thinking about my blog...well actually earlier (say 11:00 pm tuesday night) i was watching the movie Julie & Julia and the character Julie (who was writing a food blog in the movie) got me thinking about my blog. i thought "why haven't i blogged more, about the things i take about, with my friends. you know "airing" out my feelings about the "not so inclusive" fashion industry or the struggle (and i do mean struggle) for small independent /self financed /black fashion designer (yeah i know, i can hear you's now "why i got to be called a black fashion designer"..."why can't i just be a fashion designer") or why "sistah" can't get this weave thing together (and i DO MEAN CAN'T get it together...y'all letting the Drag Queens "out girl" you's) or why couples can't get married and stay married or what's up with all the cheating in relationships or why Why WHY. it didn't take me long to realize blogging is a full time job, in itself, and there is just not enough hours in the day to get it all done. (besides i'm one of those small independent /self financed /black designers who's sewing & making patterns all day +fielding calls from perspective customers and contacts + following up on leads + drumming up business + social marketing +++++)....personal life be dammned.
so as of today, i will "share" once a week or two/ three times a month. so start looking for my "share posts" and please feel free to comment.
